All of the funds raised in Oxford will help provide services for individuals living with dementia in our area.
WOODSTOCK/TILLSONBURG – The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s is returning this year.
On Saturday, May 25th, there will be two walks held in Oxford County. One event will take place at College Ave Secondary School in Woodstock, while the other will occur at Annandale Public School in Tillsonburg.
Registration starts at 9:00 a. m. for both locations, and the opening ceremonies kick off at 10:00 a. m.
Leslie Rand, who is the Director of Development for the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners, emphasizes that it’s not just about walking.
“Lots of family friendly activities with music, snacks, and food. It’s just a great day for people to come out and show our client families that they don’t walk alone.”
There’s no deadline to register, but Rand encourages everyone to sign up ahead of time so they can raise funds and organizers can plan accordingly.
“We’d love to have people register online and they can do that on our website alzswp. ca. They can also stop by the office and pick up a pledge form if they would like to do that offline.”
