Taste of Summer achieved new highs in both the amount of money raised and the number of attendees.

This year’s event, hosted by the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Foundation, saw a continued increase in funds compared to previous years. More than 2,000 people joined in on the fun.

“Donations are still coming in, and we’re close to about $45,000 raised,” said Gerry Dearing, foundation executive director.

He felt positive about the day and appreciated the pleasant weather, which was echoed by vendors as well.

“The food trucks were happy with their day and the numbers they had,” he noted, expressing gratitude to everyone who attended from himself and the board.

With Taste of Summer now wrapped up, plans are already being made for upcoming events, including this fall’s annual foundation golf tournament.
