As part of our commitment to “restoring local journalism, one community at a time”, Grant Haven Media is thrilled to introduce two new print newspapers, the Tillsonburg Post and the Simcoe Advocate.
“People in Tillsonburg, Simcoe, and nearby places like Waterford, Delhi, and Norwich deserve much better local news than what they’ve been getting,” says Stewart Grant, President of Grant Haven Media. “We can’t wait to collaborate with local writers to bring back important news and events coverage for these communities.”
True to Grant Haven’s existing community newspapers, these two new publications will be available for free. Print copies will be handed out at various pick-up spots (grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, seniors’ residences, and other community areas) across the region or can be subscribed to through home delivery for a small fee.
The first print edition of the Tillsonburg Post will hit the stands on Thursday, September 19, 2024. Following that, issues will be every two weeks. The newspaper will also have an online version at www. tillsonburgpost. com. Readers interested can sign up here to receive future editions via email.
The debut print issue of the Simcoe Advocate is set for Thursday, September 26, 2024. This paper will also come out bi-weekly. An online edition can be found at www. simcoeadvocate. com where interested readers can sign up here for email updates about future editions.
The Tillsonburg Post and Simcoe Advocate are the 9th and 10th community newspapers under the Grant Haven Media umbrella, joining others like the St. Marys Independent, Wilmot-Tavistock Gazette, Stratford Times, Woodstock Ingersoll Echo, Goderich Sun, Norfolk Farms, Brant Farms, and Niagara Farms.
