(Thunder Bay, ON) – Robert Precious came up from his shift at the Agnico Eagle Macassagold mine in Kirkland Lake late Friday afternoon only to discover he had hit the jackpot in the June Thunder Bay 50/50. The grand prize totaled $2,529,382 in this record-setting draw.

Confused about a text from an unfamiliar number, Robert received the shock of a lifetime. “I’m going to be sick,” Precious told Foundation CEO Glenn Craig. As a father of four, he had an hour-long drive back home to New Liskeard where he could share this life-changing news with his family. The start of summer vacation will certainly be extra special for the Precious household.

The winning ticket number is: R-718589506

So far, over $104 million in prizes have been given out to players across Ontario. Every ticket sold helps support vital equipment at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, making it possible for more patients to receive care close to home.

July’s draw is now open! Here’s what you need to know:

• Total early bird prizes are $159,000

• Bonus numbers are back on both the $20 and $100 ticket packages

• There’s a $59,000 draw set for July 29th

** Tickets must be bought by 11:59 p. m. ET on Thursday, July 30, 2026 to qualify for the Grand Prize draw on Friday, July 31 at 11:00 a. m. Questions regarding the draw can be sent to info@thunderbay5050. ca. Ticket buyers must be present in Ontario and at least 18 years old. The Thunder Bay 50/50 continues every month with the Grand Prize drawn on the last Friday of each month. (2026 Lottery Licence RAF1500864)
