“I think we won,” Geri Little whispered as she handed the phone to her husband, Ken, from Shebandowan, Ontario. He was about to find out he had just won the April Thunder Bay 50/50. In that moment, Ken learned he had won $2,182,137.

Shortly into the call, Geri revealed what their family is currently going through. “My daughter is having chemo right now and I have to go back to work and now I don’t have to; I get to stay here with her.”

The emotion of that moment hit everyone on the call, leaving not a single dry eye among the 50/50 team.

So far, over $99 million in prizes have been awarded to players throughout Ontario. Proceeds from every ticket sold help fund vital equipment at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, making sure more patients can receive care close to home.
