A man from St. Thomas is facing several charges after a sexual assault investigation involving a youth, according to police.
The 43-year-old suspect has been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, and uttering threats. Authorities stated that he was taken into custody for a bail hearing.
St. Thomas police did not share any further information about the case, such as when or where the alleged incidents took place or when the investigation began.
“To protect the identity of the (complainant), no further details will be released,” police mentioned in a statement. “Police remind the public that there is no statute of limitations for reporting sexual assault.”

Motorcyclist Injured in Crash Near London
A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash southeast of London on Canada Day. Emergency services arrived at around 12:04 p. m. Wednesday after receiving reports of a motorcycle accident near Borden Avenue and Glanworth Drive in Central Elgin, as stated by Elgin OPP. A 60-year-old resident from London was thrown off the motorcycle and transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. Investigators closed Borden Avenue and Glanworth Drive between Old Victoria Road and Belmont Road for several hours.
