Once again, police are reporting a deadly snowmobile accident in midwestern Ontario.
The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police have stated that a 19-year-old lost his life in a crash on the Milverton Snowmobile Club trail close to Perth Line 72. The incident took place shortly after 11 p. m. on Monday, February 9.
Authorities confirmed that the snowmobile collided with a tree, resulting in life-threatening injuries for the single rider, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police have not released the name of the deceased individual. The trail remained closed for several hours while officers conducted their investigation.
All police and emergency services have since cleared from the trail, which is now open again. The investigation into this tragic event is still ongoing.
This incident follows a collision that occurred northwest of Chesley last Thursday, which resulted in the death of a 56-year-old man.
