Environment Canada has issued a yellow rainfall warning for parts of Ontario.
The alert was put in place at around 2:45 p. m. on Saturday and is expected to last into the evening, possibly extending into Sunday.
Heavy rain and thunderstorms are anticipated to pass through regions including Southern Grey County, Northern Grey County, Southern Bruce County, Southern Huron County, and Northern Huron County.
The warning was also applicable for Sarnia-Lambton, but that area now has a Special Weather Statement.
The alert indicates that affected areas could see up to 80 millimeters of localized rain.
Environment Canada warns that water pooling on roads is likely. People are reminded to avoid driving through flooded roads and to stay indoors when conditions worsen.
