York police are looking into a drive-by shooting that targeted a home in Richmond Hill for the second time in just three months.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire on Bryson Drive around 5 a. m. Wednesday, according to York police Staff Sgt. Peter Cheung. They discovered that both the house and a vehicle parked in the driveway had been hit by bullets.
Cheung mentioned that two or more suspects were spotted shooting from a grey SUV before they escaped the scene.
This residence was also shot at back in November, Cheung noted. In that earlier incident, witnesses reported seeing a dark SUV nearby right before multiple shots rang out towards the house and cars in the driveway. That case is still being investigated.
No injuries were reported during either of these events, Cheung stated.
The police are trying to determine if there’s any link between the shootings. Anyone who has information or video related to these incidents is encouraged to come forward. Authorities are asking residents in the area to check their dashcam and doorbell camera footage for any suspicious vehicles seen around the time of the shooting.
