RENFREW – The Ontario Provincial Police are looking into a home invasion that took place at an inn in Renfrew.
According to police, just after 9 p. m. on Sunday, officers were dispatched to an inn on Gibbons Road following reports of two men entering a room, attacking the occupants with what is thought to be bear spray, and stealing belongings before escaping.
Authorities stated that more officers, along with police dogs, were called in to help search for the suspects, who have not yet been located.
The investigation by the Renfrew OPP and the Renfrew OPP Crime Unit is still ongoing.
Investigators suspect that this was a targeted attack.
If anyone has information regarding the incident, they are urged to contact the police.
