Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police in Peterborough County rescued a 45-year-old woman after her SUV went into Rice Lake early on Tuesday morning.

The police were called to the scene just after midnight when a bystander reported seeing an SUV speeding off Wood Duck Drive, located east of Bailieboro, Ont., before it ended up in the lake. The witness mentioned that they had not seen anyone come out of the vehicle.
