Two teenagers lost their lives and another was hurt in a single-vehicle accident in Port Elgin, N. B., on Friday night, according to the RCMP.
The deceased include an 18-year-old man from Sackville and a 16-year-old boy from Melrose, who both succumbed to their injuries at the crash site.
A 17-year-old boy from Port Elgin was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and is currently in critical condition.
The RCMP got reports of the crash occurring on Route 16, one kilometer east of the East Main Road intersection shortly after 8 p. m.
The vehicle veered off Route 16 and rolled over multiple times, as per the RCMP’s statement.
An RCMP reconstructionist was dispatched to assess the scene. The investigation into what caused the crash is ongoing.
Port Elgin is located about 35 kilometers northeast of Sackville, N. B.
