Saugeen Shores police, firefighters, and paramedics were on the scene. The traffic lights at some intersections in town were down because of a power outage. Authorities advise treating these intersections like four-way stops when the lights are out. This morning, there was another crash near Lamont Sports Park on Concession 6 in the southern part of Port Elgin. Three individuals were taken to the hospital for evaluation. Emergency responders also handled a structure fire on Bluewater Drive in Port Elgin. This is located a few blocks behind or west of Giant Tiger. There’s no update yet on how serious the fire was.
