Residents are still clearing snow on Friday after a major snowstorm swept through southern Ontario on Thursday.
According to Environment Canada, this was due to a powerful low-pressure system that moved south of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario.
The storm caused significant disruptions on the roads, particularly in the Greater Toronto Area, with several routes closed, including key highways and expressways like the DVP.
Initial reports from the federal weather agency indicate that Pickering experienced the most snowfall compared to other municipalities in Durham.
