Neighbour Charged After Family Dog Shot in Ontario

Ontario Provincial Police have taken a 67-year-old man into custody after a neighbour’s dog was shot and killed in Peterborough County.

Authorities say they received a call on Sunday morning from the dog’s owners, who reported that their pet had been missing for about a week.

Police confirmed that they have since recovered the dog’s body.

After interviewing everyone involved, authorities decided to charge the neighbour with killing or injuring animals.

They stated he is scheduled to appear in court this September.
