With 25 laps set or a 25-minute chance, Mark Griffin and Keaton Pipe took the lead as the 17-car Trailers Plus Ontario Legend Car Series presented by KOD Disposal hit the track for the main event on Saturday, June 13th at Peterborough Speedway.

Griffin started strong but gave up his lead to Pipe after just a few laps. The young driver led with Caleb Drimmie, Adam Cuthbertson, Parker Traves, and defending series champion Dawson Drimmie filling out the top five as teams navigated slower traffic with nine laps gone by.

Cuthbertson – a two-time former series champion – moved into second place and was eyeing the leader when the first caution flag came out for an incident on the backstretch with 13 laps completed. Traves seized the lead with 16 laps down and held it until he crossed the finish line first. A storm rolled in and rain halted the race after 20 of 25 laps were completed. Pipe, Cuthbertson, Drimmie, and Gibson Baker rounded out the top five.

Mark Griffin, Austin Milwain, Matt Thompson, Andrew Mc Fadden, Rob Eggleton, Hailey Mc Nicol, Andy Toms, Austin Seaboyer, Michael Harling, Chris Milwain and Nathan Huffman finished off the Ontario Legend Car standings. Caleb Drimmie was originally placed in 16th but was disqualified after his crew worked on his car while it was still on track.

Mark Griffin, Parker Traves, Adam Cuthbertson and Dawson Drimmie won qualifying heats earlier that day in the Ontario Legend Car Series.

Peterborough Speedway will host three more events on the Ontario Legend Car Series calendar with races scheduled for June 27th, July 4th and July 18th. Keep up with Trailers Plus Ontario Legend Car Series at your favorite track or via their social media pages and platforms.
