A man from Hastings is facing charges related to the sharing of intimate images with a young person. On January 7, 2026, Peterborough County OPP got a call from a parent who found out their child was having sexual conversations with an adult. The parent reached out to the police after checking their child’s phone and discovering sexually explicit images and videos exchanged between them. An investigation was launched by the Peterborough County OPP Major Crime Unit, leading to an arrest on January 8. Forty-eight-year-old Philip Temos was taken into custody and charged with; • Making sexually explicit material available to someone under 18 years old • Luring a minor through telecommunication • Possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material The suspect was held for bail and is set to appear in front of the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.
