The incident occurred around 2 a. m., prompting police to announce online that Highway 43 between Glenview Road and Station Road had been closed due to the accident.
According to police statements to CBC, a westbound pickup truck veered off the road and was “heavily damaged.”
The injured man from Perth was taken to a regional trauma center with serious injuries.
Police indicated that the highway reopened around 1:45 p. m., and they are continuing their investigation into the matter.
