A 79-year-old man has lost his life following a crash on Friday in West Perth, Ont., roughly 55 kilometres west of Kitchener.
Emergency services were alerted about a two-vehicle collision just before 4 p. m. on Friday near Perth Road 163 and Perth Line 26, as reported by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
One driver, a man aged 79 from Arva, suffered life-threatening injuries and was later declared dead at the scene, according to OPP.
The other driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Roads have reopened after authorities completed their investigation, OPP stated.
Police are asking anyone who may have dashcam footage or witnessed the accident to get in touch with them.
