Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested a third individual linked to a fatal incident last month in Perth, while two other suspects remain unaccounted for.
On Tuesday, the OPP revealed that they took 46-year-old Michael Lewis into custody regarding the death of 34-year-old Christo Allison Richards from Ottawa. Richards was discovered with severe injuries at Last Duel Park in Perth on April 12 and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Lewis faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder and was expected to appear in court in Perth on Tuesday.
In late April, the OPP announced that Joseph Madore, 34, and Brayton Kennedy, 28 had been charged but were still at large. Both men from Ottawa are accused of second-degree murder.
As of Tuesday, neither had been taken into custody.
Authorities believe Madore may be in British Columbia and has “known associations” in Richmond, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Terrace regions.
Kennedy could be traveling with him or might still be in Ottawa, according to an OPP release.
“If seen, do not approach,” they wrote. “Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.”
