Tragic Accident Claims Two Lives on Hwy. 401

Tragic Accident Claims Two Lives on Hwy. 401

Just after midnight on August 3, emergency services were called to a crash in the westbound lanes of Highway 401, where they discovered two individuals deceased.

As per a statement, emergency responders arrived at the accident site and found that a transport truck was disabled on the right shoulder of the westbound lane after being hit by a passenger vehicle traveling in the same direction.

The two passengers from the car, aged 47 and 73, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) from Leeds County are currently investigating this tragic incident. The crash took place near Ganonoque, Ont.

No injuries were reported for the driver of the transport truck.
