Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Lanark County are looking into a vehicle fire where one individual was found deceased.
In a news release on Saturday night, OPP stated that officers from the county, along with members of the Mississippi Mills Fire Department, responded to the fire just before 5:15 p. m. on Friday.
The incident took place in a wooded area off Ramsay Concession 12, according to police reports.
No details about the person discovered inside the vehicle were provided in the news release.
OPP’s Lanark County crime unit is carrying out the investigation together with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
The police are urging anyone with information to reach out to the Lanark County detachment.
