As I type this early Tuesday morning, a few spots remain open for an introductory workshop on quillwork set to take place among the gardens at Billings Estate located in Alta Vista on Saturday July 4. They’ll learn how porcupine quills are prepared, dyeing techniques applied, and understand cultural significance associated with this traditional art form.
