The Ontario Works office located at Midtown Mall in Oshawa, which shut down on Wednesday because of flooding, will stay closed for the remainder of the week for cleaning and repairs.

Clients can visit the Community Resource Centre on the second floor of 200 John Street – just west of downtown – to get some limited support. Ontario Works services and assistance are also available at Durham Region Headquarters on Rossland Road in Whitby.

The region mentioned on its website that a team is “actively assessing” the situation and clients can call 311 for further information.
