Goaltender Jaden Cholette recorded 21 saves for his second straight shutout, leading the Oshawa Generals to a solid 4-0 win over the North Bay Battalion in an Ontario Hockey League matchup Friday night.

Owen Griffin scored once and added two assists, while Aiden O’Donnell contributed one goal and one assist. Lucas Teixeira and Luke Posthumus also found the net for Oshawa.
Cholette made an impressive 27 saves during his first OHL shutout on Sunday against the visiting Erie Otters, helping the Generals end an eight-game losing streak. With this win, Oshawa now has a record of 7-16-0 for a total of 14 points, placing them fifth in the East Division.
Goaltender Mike Mc Ivor faced a total of 34 shots for the Battalion before an audience of 5,735 at the Tribute Communities Centre. North Bay had recently beaten the London Knights with a score of 5-2 on Thursday night and holds a record of 12-10-1 for 25 points, putting them second in the Central Division.
Following left winger Ihnat Pazii’s trade to the Flint Firebirds just before this game, North Bay dressed only 17 skaters-one less than usual. In return for Pazii, they received center Kaden Pitre.

The Generals took control early with a two-goal lead after one period. Teixeira scored first at 8:38 by grabbing a loose puck from behind the net and firing it into goal from near the circle. Anthony Figliomeni and Vadim Smirnov assisted on Teixeira’s first goal in OHL history; he played six games last season with Guelph Storm. .
A few minutes later at 14:25,, Griffin scored his team-leading twelfth goal by knocking home another bouncing puck while Mc Ivor was down on ice. Figliomeni and O’Donnell got credited with assists. .
