A man has lost his life following a crash in Oshawa on Friday, where a car collided with several trees, according to police.

This incident took place just before 10:30 p. m. on Adelaide Avenue East close to Blackthorn Street, as reported by Durham police.

The driver, a 40-year-old man, veered off the road and struck two “mature” trees, police stated.

<p Despite efforts from first responders to save him, the man died at the scene, police confirmed.

Parts of Adelaide Avenue were shut down for an investigation but have since been reopened.

Authorities are urging anyone with information or footage related to the incident to reach out to them.
