Destination: Oshawa is a fresh sitcom, created by local comedian Hannah Veldhoen, that follows one enthusiastic city worker trying to turn the mid-sized city into a trendy tourist spot.
The show also features Veldhoen as Hannah, the city employee who heads her Tourism Task Force in their mission to give the struggling Toronto satellite city a new image – all while dealing with the quirky residents who call it home.
Today on Commotion, musician and Oshawa native Wayne Petti joins host Elamin Abdelmahmoud to chat about what makes the show work as both a satire and an ode to the city.
