William Hutsul, affectionately called Wayne by many, was born on May 19, 1954, in Fort William, Ontario. He left us on July 7, 2026, in Thunder Bay, Ontario, after fighting cancer with courage. A man of Christian faith and a true son of the North, he lived his life with calmness and kindness. His gentle demeanor and quiet strength earned him the respect of everyone who crossed his path. In life’s journey, he always wore a friendly smile and had a creative spirit ready to tackle any task.
Wayne approached life with an open heart and offered comfort to those around him. After completing Grade 12, he carried forward practical knowledge that served him well throughout his career. As a Security Guard at Lac des Iles Mine, his dependability and keen eye were appreciated by his coworkers. He viewed responsibility not as a burden but as an honor and faced each day with a steady resolve that spoke volumes.
To his dear wife Debbie, Wayne was a loyal partner and companion. As for his daughters Tanya (and her husband Mark), Amanda, and Melissa (with her husband Pat), he was not just their father but also their greatest supporter whose love was evident. Additionally, he embraced four children from a previous marriage: Nicholle (and her husband Albert), Brandy (and her husband Cody), Adam (with his wife Kat), and Joshua (alongside Jessica). Through them and countless grandchildren, he found joy and laughter in family bonds that warmed his heart. His affection extended beyond immediate family to include nieces and nephews who cherished his kindness.
Wayne was one of six siblings; he leaves behind sisters Lola and Brenda (and her husband Tim), along with brothers Don (and Carmen) and Kenny. Julia (with Ivan) also survives him. Sadly, he was preceded in death by both parents as well as an infant brother who now welcomes him into eternal peace. Within the family ties, Wayne served as both a steadfast support system and an endearing friend who remembered names and shared stories that strengthened their bond.
Friends will remember Wayne for being approachable with creativity flowing from him naturally while handling practical tasks effortlessly. An avid ham radio operator at heart, this hobby suited him well since it connected people across distances-something he truly enjoyed. Additionally intrigued by Tai Chi’s balance and gracefulness mirrored how he navigated through life’s challenges gracefully while seeking both calmness and community through all aspects of life.
Though humble in nature when speaking about himself or others’ accomplishments often felt grandiose compared to what mattered most-his consistent presence among loved ones made an impact that resonated deeply within memories shared together over time spent together doing simple things brought happiness amidst chaos surrounding everyday life; thus creating light amid shadows cast during tough times ahead down roads less traveled alone without support needed most when hardest moments arise unexpectedly yet necessary nonetheless were met head-on boldly without faltering ever leaving behind something beautiful worth remembering fondly like bright stars shining brightly against dark skies above forevermore reminding us how precious moments really are despite uncertainty looming large overhead sometimes catching us off guard unprepared yet ready nonetheless thanks solely because they happened; therefore deserving respect shown always even if gone still somehow here present constantly influencing lives touched positively so profoundly forever changing them even after passing away eventually having taken physical form no longer here bound merely living inside hearts keeping spirits alive eternally reaching outwardwards sparking inspiration encouraging dreams reaching higher whenever possible bringing hope alongside gratitude wrapped tightly around everything felt strongly every day witnessed firsthand throughout years lived fully embracing opportunities gifted awaiting discovery waiting patiently until finally realized becoming reality someday soon enough definitely must happen one way another eventually guaranteed sooner rather than later.
Although Wayne’s earthly chapter has come to an end now written beautifully across pages filled lovingly inked carefully preserved gently resting somewhere safe far away physically just far away spiritually close forever together finding solace knowing all memories created shall never fade instead remain vivid illuminating paths walked upon journeys undertaken side-by-side united still sharing laughter joy celebrating victories defeats alike endlessly binding friendships forged strongly intertwined within rich history shared filled abundantly overflowing gratitude left behind illuminating faces ever seen before lighting up rooms previously dimmed otherwise lost without warmth radiating forth endlessly warming hearts healing wounds soothing pains sorrow caused leaving nothing else except pure goodness left untouched once held tight by hands joined united felt deeply soft whispers echoing softly saying “life goes on.”
Cremation has taken place with no services planned at this time; however donations may be directed towards Northern Cancer Fund instead if desired honoring legacy held dear amongst loved ones going forward continuing spreading kindness everywhere needed most desperately nowadays especially considering world we live currently facing challenges greater than ever needing compassionate help urgently required more than anything else could offer nowadays helping uplift spirits give hope again shine light again bright guiding way towards brighter tomorrows ahead easier days coming sooner rather later surely approaching swiftly reaching out toward unknown horizons waiting patiently craving connection fostering relationships blossoming anew giving back becoming better versions themselves striving always improve every aspect personally develop holistically nurturing growth flourish beautifully bloom everywhere thrive abundantly yielding fruits sweetness sustaining nourishment necessary throughout entire journey undertaken together hand-in-hand united!
