Mary Lou passed away peacefully at the Ontario Finnish Resthome on Monday, January 12, 2026, at the age of 87.

She was the loving wife of the late John Segin. Mary Lou is survived by her children Katrina Wright, Kim Craig (Stacy), and Kevin (Dawn). She was a proud grandmother to Dean Wright, Karson Krausewitz, Bobbie-Jo (Nick Shetty), Drew Craig, Zachary Segin (Sarah), Devin Segin (Char), and Alex Segin. Her great-grandchildren include Olivia Wright and Alexus Craig. She was also the sister of the late Harold Hall and Ken Hall (Mary) as well as the sister-in-law of Walter Segin (deceased), Jane Mah (Allan), and Sophie Normand (deceased). Many nieces and nephews will remember her fondly. She had a special friendship with Chris Gagnon.

Mary Lou dedicated much of her time to being a member and volunteer for the Order of the Royal Purple. While she enjoyed her camp in Desbarats, nothing compared to her love for family.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the staff at the Ontario Finnish Resthome for their kindness, care, and respect over these past few years.

If you’d like to make a memorial donation in lieu of flowers, please consider giving to the Humane Society since she loved her furry friends. Arrangements have been made through Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East, 705-759-2522). A private celebration of life will take place later on. You can share your fond memories and condolences at www. arthurfuneralhome. com for her family.
