It is with great sadness that we share the news of Ron Mc Collum’s passing on April 22, 2026, following complications from a stroke.
Ron will be greatly missed by his devoted wife, Lorna; his cherished daughter, Montana; his faithful friend, Kokomo; his brother, Redge (Carol); and his nieces and nephew, Lori, Joanne, and Terry.
For many years, Ron worked as a journeyman electrician. He took immense pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic and skilled hands.
In his spare time, Ron loved to fish and found joy in being out on the water. He treasured moments spent in Obonga as well as quality time with family at Nipigon Bay and Lake Superior, where he experienced peace and happiness.
People remembered Ron for his stubbornness, storytelling ability, and sharp sense of humor. Whether telling a story or cracking a joke, he had a unique way of bringing smiles to those around him.
He will be honored as a dedicated family man, a true friend to many, and someone who was deeply loved by all who knew him.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to friends and relatives for their love, kindness, and support during this challenging time.
A celebration of Ron’s life will take place at a later date when the weather warms up.
Arrangements have been made through Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.
