Raymond Anthony Leigh Jr. was born on July 4, 1971, in Kitchener, Ontario, and passed away on July 19, 2026, at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital. His life was filled with a strong commitment to family and lasting friendships, leaving behind a significant legacy of love and care.

Raymond was the dear son of Ray and Joan Leigh, who supported him throughout his journey. He is survived by his loving sister, Tammy Leigh Robinson, and her husband Keith Robinson. Raymond’s devotion to his family shone through in everything he did; he had an incredible ability for kindness and generosity. He built meaningful connections outside his immediate family as well, including with Tasha Abitrante, whose friendship added warmth to his life.

As a devoted father, Raymond’s love and guidance greatly influenced the lives of his children: Elizabeth (affectionately known as Beth), Hailey, Joshua, Amanda, and Tori. He motivated them through unwavering support and thoughtful presence, always aiming to instill values and strength needed to face life’s challenges. The memory of his late daughter Jocelyn will always be cherished in the family’s hearts.

Raymond found immense joy in his extended family. He took pride in being an uncle to Nicholas Fraser, Julie Boozan, and Lindy Dunn-whose lives were enriched by his wisdom and encouragement. Family ties also grew through Meagon, Chad, and Matt-spouses whose connection to Raymond reflects the welcoming spirit he nurtured within the Leigh family.

Raymond’s life wasn’t just about relationships; it also showcased a consistent sense of responsibility and integrity that impacted everyone who knew him. Friends recall his friendly demeanor, subtle humor, and willingness to lend a hand whenever needed.

A visitation for Raymond Anthony Leigh Jr. will take place on July 24, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Riverside Baptist Church located at 11 Riverside Drive in Huntsville, ON. A funeral service will follow at the same location starting at 1:00 PM with interment happening at Madill Church located at 485 Muskoka District Road 3 in Huntsville at 3:00 PM.

As family members, friends, and the broader community come together to honor Raymond’s life we find unity in gratitude for all shared moments with him. His memory will remain alive in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him; his influence will continue through the enduring love of his family.
