With great sadness, we share the news of Shawn Kelly’s passing. He peacefully left us at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital after bravely fighting cancer at the age of 54.
He was a loving husband to Renee and the late Shelley (2011).
A proud father to Serena (Curtis) and Connor.
Dear son of Michael and Lisette Kelly (nee Gadoury) and son-in-law of Marcel (Deborah) Lefebvre, Denise (Ralph) Brosseau, and Jim (Marilyn) Verbeem (late Maureen Medel).
Brother to James and Derek (Tanya), and brother-in-law to Kiki (Dave), Damien (Emily), Greg (Alicia), Chris (Natalie), and Sue.
He will be missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and his beloved dog Gracie.
Shawn will be remembered for his deep love for family, his passion as a business owner of Creative Homescapes, his humor, generosity, compassion, and knack for connecting with others. He loved golfing, skiing, sports cars, and had his ups and downs with the Toronto Maple Leafs while remaining a devoted fan.
A visitation will take place on Friday October 18, 2024 at Windsor Chapel Banwell Location, 11677 Tecumseh Rd in Windsor from 2:00pm until 5:00pm and then from 7:00pm until 9:00pm. A funeral service is scheduled at the funeral home on Saturday October 19 at 11:00am with one hour of visitation before the service. Cremation will follow afterward.
A special thank you goes out to the doctors and nurses at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital who cared for Shawn during his journey. Your kindness and compassion meant so much.
