CASPER, John “The Ghost”

Died peacefully after a sudden illness at the age of 72 at WRH Ouellette Campus on Thursday, July 23, 2026. He was a loving partner and spouse to Patricia (Anger) for 33 wonderful years. A caring father to Millissa Chlumecky (Mike) and Patricia Mitrevski (Mike). A devoted stepfather to Trevor (Anger). Proud Grandpa of Chloe, Aiden, Emma, and Evan. Brother to Doug Laliberty (Pam) and Bill Laliberty. John will be deeply missed by the entire Lindsey family.

John spent 30 years working as a pipe fitter for Chrysler before retiring. He enjoyed all kinds of sports and loved playing baseball, golf, and bowling among others. In his free time, you could find him in the garage with a Blue and a buddy enjoying a game of pool. Many family members and friends will fondly remember him as “The Ghost.” His friends from the “Shakers” group will also hold him close in their hearts.

Visitation is scheduled at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – South Chapel (3048 Dougall Ave., Windsor 519-253-7236) on Monday, July 27, from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. A full Funeral Service will take place in the chapel at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Cremation will follow.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the staff, physicians, and nurses at WRH Ouellette Campus especially Dr. A Shamisa, Dr. A Wasserman, and Nurse Madison.
