Treverton, Jo-Anne Gail (nee Pickard)
It is with great sadness that we share the news of Jo-Anne Treverton’s passing. After a year filled with love and courage in her fight against illness, Jo-Anne peacefully left us surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 17th, 2021. She will be greatly missed by her high school sweetheart and husband of forty-eight years, Robert Treverton; their three children Ryan Treverton (Rochelle), Derek Treverton, and Erin Gouin (Jason); her grandchildren Rae and Samuel; and her sister-in-law Barbara Treverton. As the daughter of the late Garnet and Marcella Pickard, she is also predeceased by her sister Maureen Pickard. Jo-Anne will remain in the hearts of her siblings Michelle Desmarais (Kevin), Mary-Lou Hansen (Jamie), Margot Herkes (John), Larry Pickard (Rachelle), and Jim Pickard (Nicole). Her vibrant personality brought joy to many lifelong friends, and she was respected for always putting others before herself. In 2018, after dedicating forty-seven years to caring for people as an RN at Windsor Regional Hospital, Jo-Anne retired. She enjoyed a fulfilling life full of baking, traveling, and long walks with friends. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) at 3048 Dougall Ave, 519-253-7234 on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm & 7:00pm – 9:00 pm. A private Chapel Service with limited capacity will take place on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 11:00am. You can watch the livestream of the service here Jo-Anne Treverton service. Following Jo-Anne’s wishes, cremation will take place afterward. Masks are required for those attending visitation and the funeral services. No reservations are needed for visiting on Wednesday. The Treverton family expresses gratitude to the staff at Windsor Regional Hospital, the Cancer Clinic, Dr. Hamm and Dr. Freeman; as well as Saint Elizabeth Health Care (Meaghan and Marissa) along with her longtime physician Dr. Liang who supported her through two battles with cancer. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made in Jo-Anne’s memory to the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation via their website.
