We are heartbroken to share that Janko Gombar has peacefully passed away at Windsor Regional Hospital – Ouellette Campus on September 19, 2025, at the age of 79.

He was a loving husband to Anna Gombar (née Tomic) and a devoted father to Alexandra “Sandy” (Zarko) and the late Julie (survived by David). Janko was also a proud grandfather of Michael and Page. He was the caring son of the late Janko and Julia Gombar and will be fondly remembered by his nephew Jerry (Mila).

Janko spent many years as a talented tool and die worker, where he earned respect for his hard work and skill. After retiring, he loved “emptying the bucket list,” exploring the world with enthusiasm and appreciation. Most importantly, he will be remembered as a family man who was dearly loved by all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to come together for visitation at Windsor Chapel Banwell, located at 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E, Windsor, on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 3:00-5:00 p. m. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Francis of Assisi Church, located at 1701 Turner Rd., Windsor, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 10:00 a. m. Cremation will follow.

Janko will always be remembered and greatly missed.
