ISSHAK- Houda (Nee Aouad)
Houda passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, at the age of 78 years, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife to Tony (Antoine), with whom she shared 61 wonderful years of marriage. Houda was a caring and loving mother to John Isshak (Sofija), Genevieve Isshak-Rehse (Steven), Robert Isshak (Rosie), Terry Kobrossy (Rabih), and Yvonne Wehbe (Robert).
She was a dear grandmother to Adriana, Olivia, Tony, George, Christina, Eli, Aleksandar, and Michael.
Houda was the beloved daughter of the late Antonios and Genevieve Aouad from Lebanon. She had a special bond with her sister Theresa Kalife and her late husband Phillip. She also leaves behind her brother Joseph Aouad and his wife Theresa. Many nieces and nephews will miss her dearly. As a member of St. Charbel Parish – Windsor and the United Society of Hasroun in Windsor, Houda was known for being a caring wife and mother whose greatest happiness came from her family. With kindness and generosity in her heart, she created a home where everyone felt welcomed and loved. Whether through delicious meals or quiet support each day, she took pride in nurturing those around her. Her gentle spirit and endless compassion will always be remembered by her family and all who were lucky enough to know her.
Visitation will take place at the WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E on Monday April 6, 2026 from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 7, 2026 at 9am leaving the funeral home for St. Charbel Maronite Church for mass at 10:00am. Entombment will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Houda’s memory can be made to St. Charbel Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation; both would be greatly appreciated by her family.
