Felice Antonio Mognon
January 19, 1931 – January 13, 2026
Felice Antonio Mognon peacefully left us on January 13, 2026, at the age of 94, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Monastiero in San Martino di Lupari, Padova, Italy, to the late Ettore and Adelia Mognon.
He was a devoted husband to Imelda (nee Petrin) for 62 years and a caring father to sons Ettore (Ursula) and Dino (Nancy). As a proud Nonno, he cherished his grandchildren Daniel, Alexa, Anna-Christina, Alexander, and Thomas. Felice was predeceased by his sisters Maria Luisa Sidotti (Eugenio, deceased) and Orielle; he is survived by his brother Luigi (Lucia). He will be greatly missed by nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends in Canada and Italy.
In 1954, Felice moved to Canada where he created a wonderful life while keeping his love for Italy close to his heart. Family meant everything to him; he found immense joy in spending time with his adored grandchildren. His hobbies included woodworking and baking. He loved sharing stories about his life journey.
Felice will be remembered as a man of strong principles who showed kindness and generosity. He worked for Dominion Forge of Canada for many years and proudly belonged to the Giovanni Caboto Club for over five decades. His spirit of love and Italian traditions will remain alive in the hearts of all who knew him.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, staff members, and volunteers at the Hospice of Windsor for their outstanding care during Felice’s last days.
Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) located at 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7234) on Sunday, January 18, 2026 from 2:00 – 5:00 p. m and again from 7:00 – 9:00 p. m. Parish prayers will start at 4:30 p. m. The Funeral Service is scheduled for Monday January 19th at 10:30 a. m., departing from the funeral home then proceeding to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a. m. Entombment will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in Felice’s name to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County would be very much appreciated.
