Emile Mourad passed away peacefully at the age of 75 on July 13, 2025. He is now reunited with his wife, Samira, who passed in 2011. Emile was a loving father to Mirna, Marc (Ruba), and Monique (Samir), and he took great pride in being a grandfather to Taylor, Micayla, Nami Michael, Marissa, and Alex. He had a close bond with his siblings Amal, Nawal, and Nahed, and he was predeceased by his brother Salim. Emile will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Emile was a faithful man who dedicated much of his time to St. Simeon Stylites Melkite Catholic Church. His quiet service there made a real difference in the community. He loved spending time in his beautiful garden and was known for being kind-hearted and loyal.
With a warm nature, Emile often surprised family and friends with flowers for no special reason at all. His friendly smile and easygoing personality made everyone feel at ease. Always carrying his camera around, he loved capturing happy moments with those he cared about. He will be missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to thank the staff at Windsor Regional Hospital – Metropolitan Campus and The Villages of Aspen Lake for their care and compassion during this time.
Visitation will be held at St. Simeon Stylites Melkite Catholic Church (8700 Jerome St.) on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 6-9 pm. The Funeral Service will take place there on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 11:00 am followed by interment at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are handled by Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Chapel (519-253-7235).
