We are heartbroken to share the passing of Brenda Gail Irving from Windsor, Ontario. She left us peacefully in her sleep at the age of 85 on October 12th, 2025.

Brenda was born on April 16th, 1940, to her late parents, Andrew and Marjorie Irving. She was a mother to Marlene and a grandmother to Sara (Stephen) and Megan (Thomas). As a proud Gigi to Callum (2024) and Malcolm, she held them close to her heart. In death, she is reunited with three dear friends: Vicky, Sandy, and Les. She is also joyfully back with her two beloved dogs, Muffy and Kallie.

After retiring as a teacher after thirty years, Brenda enjoyed traveling, golfing, playing cards, shopping at Costco, watching Tigers games, and hosting parties for every occasion. Recently, she cherished the time spent with her great-grandson Malcolm; he truly brought her joy. Though their time together was too short, she is now with her late great-grandson Callum again-reading stories just like she did for Malcolm.

Her card club friends will miss her dearly: Donna, Karlene, Annie, Meredith (Harry), Sue, Geri, Diana, and Helene. Brenda is survived by cousins Rod and Liz Tregwin; long-time friend Sheila Tyler; Wayne and Julie Bartlett; along with many others she connected with throughout her life via teaching and social activities.

Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME – BANWELL CHAPEL located at 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Thursday October 16th ,2025 from 2-5 pm and again from 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service by the Beta Sigma Phi sorority will start at 4:30 pm followed by another service by the RWTO at 7:30 pm. A private family interment will occur later.

In lieu of flowers for Brenda and in memory of her great-grandson Callum donations can be made to Miles for Max; cheques should be written out to “Miles for Max , Meghan Mc Coy” or sent via e-transfer to milesformax23@gmail. ca. You can share online condolences and cherished memories with the family at www. windsorchapel. com
