With heavy hearts, we share the news of Gerald (Jerry) Leslie Scott’s passing on June 12, 2026, at the age of 81. Jerry was a devoted husband to Diane and the loving former husband of Cherry, who sadly passed away in 2008. He is survived by his children Katreena (Costa Metallinos) and Garth (Helen), along with his adoring grandchildren Carolyn (Michael Clementino), Jerry, Allison, Andrew, Adrian, Ryan, Sophia and great-grandchild Amelia. His brother Jim (Mary) and their kids Jeff, Jennifer, Martha, and Jodi are also left to remember him; as well as his sister-in-law Sherry Musgrove (the late Donald) and sister-in-law Gail Stewart (the late Murray), along with their children Michael and Gary. Jerry made a significant impact through his work, friendships, and community involvement. As one of the original teachers at I. E. Weldon Secondary School, he dedicated many years to educating and inspiring countless students. Jerry loved to travel extensively. He had a passion for woodworking and enjoyed skiing as well. Together with Diane, they cherished dining out, exploring Ontario’s sights, and cruising around the globe. He was also a familiar face among the Friday breakfast group. Jerry will be remembered for his kindness, sharp mind, humor, and love for lively discussions. He valued time spent with family and friends deeply and showed genuine interest in everyone he met.
