Melvin Moore Passes Away at 91

Melvin Moore Passes Away at 91

We are deeply saddened to share that Melvin W. Moore passed away on December 25, 2025, at Shrewsbury Nursing Home.

He was born on March 7, 1934, in Minto, New Brunswick, Canada, and was the son of the late Bramwell and Pauline (Skriptzik) Moore.

Melvin is survived by his wife, Rosetta (Warren) Moore whom he wed on December 26, 1960, in Westborough, MA. He also leaves behind his daughter, Debra (Moore) Wilkins of Vermont along with grandchildren Eugene Wilkins, Ryan Wilkins, and Sara Wilkins as well as several great-grandchildren from Vermont. Additionally, he is survived by one brother, Murray Moore (Rose) of New Brunswick, Canada; sisters Jane Pike (late Donald), May Fraser (late Harold), and Mary Ann Wyllie (Fred), all from New Brunswick.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Leonard who died young; George Moore (Ellen), Winston Moore (Tenna), David (late Bonnie), and Thomas Moore from Belldune; as well as sisters Hilda Hoyt (late Alton) and Shirley Scovill (Murray) from St. John. One sister who died young was Emma Mae Moore along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Melvin served in the U. S. Marine Corps before working at Bay State Abrasives for thirty-eight years until retirement.

At his request there will be no funeral service or visitation. A graveside service will take place at a later time.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough.
