With heavy hearts, the family shares the sudden and unexpected loss of Kim Mac Leod on May 27, 2026, at the age of 68. Born in Rivers, Manitoba, on July 20th, 1957, Kim later settled in Thunder Bay before moving to Kakabeka Falls, a place she loved dearly. A caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Kim will be remembered for her kindness, generous heart, and the loving home she built for everyone around her. She took pride in looking after her family and found joy in gardening, reading, crafting, and visiting flea markets. She had a unique ability to make others feel welcomed and loved deeply. Kim is survived by her cherished husband Dave; children Carmen, David (Ellen), Duncan, Megan (Ron) Mc Donald; Melanie Gottfred; sisters Karen Smude (John), Tina (Lee) Uszacki, Lorri (Brian) Stoneman; brother Scott (Gina) Pelley; grandchildren Shannon, Marie, Alya, Avery, David, Alec, Ainsley, Lennox, Malcolm, Breelyn; Tessa; her dear niece Monica (Barry) De Gagne; along with many nieces and nephews and close friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Marry Pelley and father Reginald Pelley; mother-in-law Monica Mac Leod; father-in-law Duncan Mac Leod; sisters Deborah Dolph and Janice Madore; as well as her grandson Korben Mac Leod.
A funeral service will take place on June 12, 2026 at 11:00 a. m. at St. Theresa Church in Kakabeka Falls with Father Doug Mc Clure officiating. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers you may donate in Kim’s memory to a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been made through Blake Funeral Chapel at 200 May Street S.
