It is with great sadness that the family of Darragh Mogan shares the news of his passing on October 12, 2025, at home in Charlottetown, P. E. I., at the age of 79.

Darragh was born in Toronto to Wilf and Connie and had a brother named Michael. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario and spent his career working for Veterans Affairs Canada, where he was admired for his honesty, kindness, and gentle sense of humor.

A committed volunteer, Darragh dedicated his time to various causes that reflected his passions for music, nature, and justice. He sang with the Canada Remembers Chorus, served on the P. E. I. Symphony board, supported the NDP of P. E. I., and worked to protect the annual smelt run with the Ellen’s Creek Watershed Group. His dedication to community service and caring for others were key aspects of his life.

At home, he enjoyed simple pleasures like tending to his garden, making homemade jams and mustard pickles, and sharing laughter with family and friends.

Darragh is survived by his brother Michael Sr.; sons Michael, Brendan, Darcy and Liam; grandchildren Aidan, Sean, Alex, Dylan, Riley and Ava; partner Hui and her daughter Tina.

If you wish to honor Darragh’s memory instead of sending flowers, please consider acts of kindness or donations or simply raise a glass in his memory.
