Condolences & Donations

We invite you to share any special photos or stories about David. All tributes made on and purchased through this memorial website will be preserved for future generations.

JD I believe Papa David is at peace now. He’s free of pain, and even though we can’t see him anymore, his spirit will always be with us, especially when we remember him. I hope this thought brings comfort to others during our time of loss. It certainly helped me.

BM Since David passed away, I’ve had some time to think about what he meant to me. The first thing that comes to mind is how whenever I visited Mrs. “D,” he always took a moment from whatever he was doing just to say hello. He genuinely cared about how I was doing and asked about my job. In the few years Mary Ann and I have been married, he always made time for both of us. He was truly interested in hearing how Mary Ann was faring with her business endeavors. From the very first time I met him when Brendan and I began hanging out together, he made everyone feel welcome-especially Mary Ann.

The memory that stands out most is how supportive David was when I chose to go back to university. He regularly asked about my classes and even looked over any papers I was working on. When he found out what topic I was studying, he’d send me articles and links that might help with my research. One of the kindest things he did for me was give me books he’d read that were relevant to my paper.

I will miss David dearly-our chats about fascinating historical documentaries and books we both loved.

Thank you for everything, David.

Our hearts are with you Amy and Craig-wishing you all the best.
