June 14, 1985 – October 17, 2025

With heavy hearts and a lot of love, we announce the passing of Billy Joe Anthony Prosser, who left us too soon on October 17, 2025, in Huntsville, Ontario. Born on June 14, 1985, in Mississauga, Ontario, Billy spent all his 40 years filled with laughter, determination, and a generous spirit.

On August 6, 2011, Billy married his soulmate, Genise Reid, in Port Sydney, Ontario. Together they created a life rich with love and joy while raising a beautiful family that meant everything to him.

Billy is survived by his loving mother Cathy Prosser; his wife Genise; and his children Jacob, Jeffrey, Mikey, and Ben who were his greatest joys. He will be greatly missed by his sisters Stacy, Tara, Catherine, and Sara along with their partners; his grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who cherished their Uncle Billy.

Billy was an amazing son – always caring and supportive whenever needed. His bond with his mom was special – built on respect and humor. No matter how hectic life became, he always made time to check in on her and show her just how much she mattered to him.

His strong work ethic started early – whether he was shoveling snow or collecting bottles for some extra cash (and sneaking in laughs). This drive helped him own a Pizza Pizza franchise before becoming a skilled gas fitter and eventually running his own business.

Billy had a passion for the outdoors – enjoying summer days camping or riding around on his four-wheeler or side-by-side while sharing laughs by the campfire. He loved playing golf too but valued the company over the scorecard. And everyone knew when he was driving that white Mustang; if you heard that engine roar you could bet it was Billy zooming by with that playful grin.

A service to honor Billy’s life will take place at Billingsley Funeral Home in Huntsville on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 1:00 p. m., followed by lunch downstairs.

A visitation will happen on Monday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p. m.

If you’d like to make a donation in memory of Billy’s life please consider supporting the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

We’ll remember Billy for his kindness and honesty as well as the boundless love he gave to family and friends. His laughter along with his stories will continue to live within us – because knowing Billy meant being loved deeply by him
