In a information launch printed Tuesday, the Nationwide Police Federation says it met with Canadian and U.S. police and public security unions to speak about unlawful migration, drug and firearms smuggling and human trafficking.

The union says that the discussions helped it draft a set of suggestions for the Canadian and U.S. governments.

That features streamlining the procurement course of to purchase new applied sciences and gear so police could be extra nimble in responding to modifications in felony traits.

The union is looking on each international locations to both recruit extra police or discover “modern methods” to make sure the mental-well being of public security officers.
