OAKVILLE – Police in the area west of Toronto are searching for suspects following the theft of eight high-end cars during a break-in at an Oakville, Ont., leasing company.
Halton police reported that they were alerted to Lockwood Leasing, located near South Service Road West and Fourth Line, at around 3:35 a. m. on Sunday.
According to officials, the front window was broken while no one was inside, allowing suspects to gain access to a lock box that held car keys.
The thieves drove off with eight luxury vehicles, which included a Ferrari, two Porsches, three Mercedes-Benz models, and two BMWs.
Authorities estimate the total value of the stolen cars is around $2 million. Three of these vehicles – a BMW, a Mercedes, and a Ferrari – have been recovered in the Greater Toronto Area.
The investigation is still ongoing, and all suspects were seen wearing dark clothing and face coverings.
