A cyclist has died following a collision with a vehicle in Oakville Tuesday afternoon.
Halton police report that the incident occurred just before noon outside South Oakville Centre, previously known as Hopedale Mall, located at 1515 Rebecca St.
According to officers, a man riding his bike was heading west on Rebecca Street when a woman from Oakville, aged 57, turned left into the parking lot and hit him.
Investigators are trying to assess how the crash happened, and the Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken over the investigation.
Officials say the 67-year-old man from Burlington was rushed to a trauma center with serious injuries but unfortunately passed away on Friday.
Police closed Rebecca Street between Third Line and Savannah Gate for several hours on Tuesday; however, it has since been reopened.
