If you love desserts, there’s a butter tart festival happening in Mississauga this month that you won’t want to miss.
The Streetsville Butter Tarts and More Market is back at the Streetsville Village Square on Saturday, Sept. 19.
This free community event honors one of Ontario’s favorite treats and brings together skilled bakers, food vendors, artisans, and local businesses, according to the organizer, Gotta Luv Butter Tarts.

Attendees can look forward to a fantastic variety of butter tarts featuring traditional favorites as well as creative and decadent flavors, along with baked goods, specialty foods, and unique items from local vendors, said the organizer.
“Streetsville is the perfect home for a celebration of butter tarts,” said Helen Prucha, founder of Gotta Luv Butter Tarts. “We want people to come hungry, bring their family and friends, discover amazing Ontario bakers and have some fun. There is nothing quite like seeing people’s faces when they find their favourite butter tart!”
The event aims to highlight local entrepreneurs while providing the community with an enjoyable and free way to spend time in Streetsville.
You can also find cookies, macarons, and artisanal breads at the market. Plus, there will be unique handmade items from local small business owners.
