A 23-year-old man from B. C. is now in custody after being linked to two shootings that occurred last fall in Caledon and Brampton.
According to investigators, two suspects arrived at a residence near Old School Road and Creditview Road just before 3 a. m. on October 26, 2025. Surveillance footage shows one of the suspects pouring an accelerant on the driveway and then igniting it. Both individuals then reportedly fired multiple shots at the house before escaping in a silver BMW SUV.
Not long after, the same suspects allegedly appeared at a business close to Advance Boulevard and Dixie Road, where surveillance video captured one of them firing several rounds toward the establishment before fleeing.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
Authorities state these shootings are part of an ongoing extortion investigation. With assistance from Peel Regional Police and Canada Border Services Agency, they executed an arrest warrant for a B. C. man on April 24, 2026.
Ravinder Singh is facing two counts of conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
Singh is the second individual charged related to these shootings. Back in November, police in Peel Region arrested 25-year-old Iqbal Bhagria on multiple charges including two counts of intentionally discharging a firearm recklessly, arson, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and uttering a forged document.
