The OPP are looking for the driver of a vehicle who is believed to have fatally hit a woman after she fell from another moving car on New Year’s Day.
Police report that the incident occurred around 5:45 a. m. on January 1, in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401, just beyond Dixie Road collectors.
Sgt. Kerry Schmidt stated that the 32-year-old woman from Scarborough was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The driver and the vehicle that struck this person may not even know what they struck,” Schmidt said in a video posted to X.

The vehicle involved is described as either a white or light-colored Toyota or Nissan and might have damage on the front driver’s side.
The Mississauga OPP are eager to talk with the driver and urge them or anyone with information about this incident to reach out to police.
